मायके की छूटती देहरी को बार-बार तकना

हर याद नयन में लिए, नयन भर-भर आना

ज़िक्र भर से ही नयनों का अल्हड़ हो जाना

मोहक हैं यादें, नयनों को फिर है वहीं जाना

जब भी इन पंक्तियों को पढ़ती हूँ तो मन गबगबा जाता है, नयन सजल हो जाते हैं. नैहर का मोह किसी सवासिन से कभी नहीं छूटता. बचपन में दुर्गा-पूजा पंडाल में बनारसी साड़ी पहने, सिंदूर सजी माँग और अधरों पर लाली लगाए माँ का खोंइंछा भरतीं थी मैं. छठ पूजा में ठाप-ठोप सिंदूर लगाये, अपनी नई साड़ी समेट गंगाजी में सूप व्रती को थमाती नैहर आई सद्य-ब्याहताओं को अपलक निहारती रहती मैं. बेटियाँ तब आते ही माँ के अंक से लिपटकर जी भर कर रो लेती थीं. उस रुदन में ही ससुराल के लिये सारे उपालंभ होते थे जो आँसुओं में बहकर निकल जाते थे. उनके आने से घर गजगज करता था और जाते वक़्त के रुदन से माहौल ऐसा कारुणिक होता था कि घर में अजीब सा सन्नाटा पसर जाता था. खिलखिलाहट के बीच किसी कोने में फुसफुसाहटों से वो सच भी सामने आता था कि कितनी मिन्नतों के बाद सास ने नैहर आने दिया था.

मन की थाह लेना बड़ा मुश्किल है. जब मैं मोकामा में रहती थी तो बाहर जाने की तीव्र उत्कंठा थी. सात फेरों के बाद विदा होकर जाती हुई दुल्हनिया पहली बार यह जान पाई कि क्या कुछ पीछे छोड़ आई है. विदागरी की बेला में पीछे फेंकते चावल संग वहीं छोड़ आई थी वो अल्हड़पन, वो नादानियाँ, वो माय चाची की नसीहतें, वो लाढ़, वो दुलार, वो ठुनकना, वो रुसना, वो मानना, वो मनाना, वो मचलना, वो हिरिस और न जाने क्या क्या. आंचल के खोंइंछे में बाँधकर ससुराल ले आई थी मान-मर्यादा, संस्कार, थोड़ा धीरज, थोड़ी सहनशीलता, भविष्य के सुनहरे सपने और ढेरों आशीष. इन्ही के सहारे गृहस्थी बसी और जीवन ऐसा बदला कि नैहर जाने से पहले वापस आने की तिथि तय हो जाती थी. एक चचेरी फुआ बस शादी-ब्याह में ही आ पाती थीं. उनसे मैं अक्सर पूछती थी कि वह इतने सालों बाद वह क्यों आती हैं और क्या उनको मोकामा की याद नहीं आती. उन्होंने तब कहा था कि तुम अभी नहीं समझोगी. सच ही कहा था फुआ ने. आज फुआ-भतीजी दुनो एके गति में हैं. 

जिस मोकामा से बाहर निकलने को मचलता था मन, वही मोकामा अब चुंबक की मानिंद खींचता है. पहले तो ख़ूब जाना होता था, फिर गृहस्थी के जंजाल में उलझकर मन मसोसकर ही रह जाती. पर आज भी कहीं किसी ने मोकामा का नाम भर लिया तो कानों में मिसरी सी घुल जाती है. मोदी जी मोकामा जाते हैं तो यूँ लगता है कि वो मेरे ही घर पधार रहे हों. मोकामा नाम पर एकछितर राज लगता है अपना. वहाँ की बुराई बर्दाश्त नहीं, सुनते ही सनी देओल की आत्मा घुसने लगती है और सामने वाला दुश्मन देश का दिखता है. तब हमारी बोली मोर्टार से निकले गोलियों से कम घातक नहीं होती. वैसे यह पतियों के लिए रामबाण नुस्ख़ा है, पत्नी से कुछो मनवाना हो तो जय नैहर पुराण शुरू कर दीजिए. आजमाइए कभी, पत्नी की तनी भृकुटी सामान्य हो जाएगी और उनका चेहरा खिल उठेगा.

बचपन का खान-पान और बोली-व्यवहार जीवन भर साथ रहता है. उससे जुड़ाव खत्म नहीं होता. हमारे लिये नैहर का सौग़ात झोला भरके ताज़ा तर-तरकारी, फल-फलेरी, लाय-खोबिया, झिल्ली, गुड़ाही लड्डू, कड़ाकी-तिलकुट, गुड़ का लट्ठा, अदौरी, भुऔरी, तिलौरी, चरौरी और ना जाने क्या-क्या लेकर मम्मी-पापा आते थे. दिल्ली वाले पड़ोसी भी ये सब देहाती बैना पाकर गदगद हो जाते थे. मुझे अमरूद बहुत पसंद था तो पापा ने ८-१० गाछ अमरूद के लगवा दिए थे. सब यही कहते थे कि एकर ससुराल बस अमरूद के पौंती लेकर चल जाओ, मर-मिठाई से क्या लेना-देना. ४ बरस हो गये पापा को गुज़रे. अमरूद के कितने सीज़न आये और गये पर अब अमरुद नहीं खाती मैं. मन से उतर गया उसका सुवाद.

मोकामा से पहली बार जाते हुए यह लग गया था कि वो दिन अब लौटकर नहीं आएंगे. आना-जाना होता पर आसान नहीं था वह. धीरे धीरे व्यस्तताओं में अपने पर इतने पसार लिए कि पुराने आसमान की उड़ान कम होती चली गई. पापा के गुज़रने के बाद माँ हम भाई-बहन के पास अपनी मर्ज़ी मुताबिक़ रहती हैं पर उनका दिल तो उस विशाल अहाते में बने हमारे घर में ही लगता है जहाँ उनके जीवन की सुखद यादें बसती हैं. बाग़-बग़ीचे, आम-अमरूद-लीची-कटहल जैसे भाँति-भाँति के फल, सच्ची ऑर्गेनिक सब्ज़ियों से भरा टोकरा सब कुछ है वहाँ पर बाल-बच्चे परदेस में. हमारी कोशिश होती है कि जब मम्मी मोकामा में रहें तो वहाँ हम भी ज़रूर जाएं. झोला भरके तर-तरकारी और फल खाते हैं, बोरा भरकर लाते हैं तो मम्मी को लगता है कि बाल-बुतरू खा लिया तो हक़ लग गया.

सवासिन के नैहर की टीस इतनी है कि एक लेख, क्या एक पुस्तक में भी नहीं सिमट सके. फिर भी मैं हर जनम ऐसा ही पाने की इच्छा रखती हूँ, एक माँ, बहु, पत्नी, बहन और सबसे पहले एक बेटी की.
