इसी साल देश के प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी को UN द्वारा चैंपियन ऑफ द अर्थ की उपाधि से सम्मानित किया गया. यह पुरस्कार पर्यावरण के लिए उनके किये हुए कार्यों, अभिनव सोच और दूरंदर्शिता के लिए दिया गया है. इसी साल भारत को दुनिया की सबसे बड़ा हेल्थ इन्शुरन्स स्कीम भी मिली जिसका नाम है आयुष्मान भारत. आयुष्मान भारत ने करोड़ों भारतीयों, खासकर गरीबों के स्वास्थ्य के लिए अच्छा कार्य किया है. हर रोज़ हज़ारों गरीब इस योजना से लाभान्वित हो रहे हैं. इसी साल भारत के सभी गांव बिजली से रौशन हो गए. अब तक देश में 18 हज़ार गांवों में बिजली का खम्भा भी नहीं पहुंचा था.
इसी साल भारत में सिक्किम राज्य को उसका पहला एयरपोर्ट प्राप्त हुआ. दुर्गम पहाड़ी इलाकों में कनेक्टिविटी बढ़ाने में यह एक और ऐतिहासिक कदम है. एशिया का सबसे बड़ा टनल भी बना कर खड़ा कर दिया गया है. एशिया का सबसे लंबा रेल-रोड ब्रिज भी बन कर तैयार हुआ है. वर्ल्ड सोलर अलायन्स की पहली मीटिंग भी इसी वर्ष हुई. काशी में गंगा नदी में जलमार्ग का भी निर्माण पूरा हुआ. पहला जलमार्ग भी अब खुल चुका है जहां से पेप्सी ने पहला व्यापार शुरू किया है. देश को एक दुःखकारी घटना का सामना करना पड़ा जब पूर्व प्रधानमंत्री श्री अटल बिहारी वाजपेयी का लम्बी बीमारी के बाद निधन हो गया और पूरा भारत शोक में डूब गया।
अंतरिक्ष के क्षेत्र में भी भारत का प्रदर्शन शानदार रहा. भारत के इसरो ने इसी साल 104 सैटेलाइट एक साथ लांच किए. भारत में इसरो ने अपना 100वां अंतरिक्ष यान कार्टोसैटभी अंतरिक्ष में भेज एक कीर्तिमान स्थापित किया. देश में पहली महिला फाइटर पायलट भी देश को इसी साल मिली. भारत अब समंदर के अंदर भी परमाणु सम्पन्न देश बन गया है. भारत के अरिहंत पनडुब्बी की यात्रा पूरी होते ही अब जल, थल और नभ, तीनों ही जगहों पर भारत एक परमाणु सम्पन्न शक्ति बना. कूटनीतिक रूप से भी भारत के लिए यह साल बहुत महत्वपूर्ण रहा है. भारत ने S-400 मिसाइलों की डील फाइनल की, और चाबहार बंदरगाह भी भारत को मिल गया. वहीं विभिन्न देशों से भारत के रिश्ते मज़बूत हुए.
चुनावों की बात करें तो सत्ताधारी भाजपा के लिए यह साल कुछ अच्छा नहीं रहा. कर्नाटक में सबसे बड़ी पार्टी होने के बावजूद भाजपा को चुनाव बाद बने JDS और कांग्रेस के गठबंधन से हार नसीब हुई. कर्नाटक चुनावों के बाद एक दिन की बनाई भाजपा सरकार भी गिर गयी. हाल में ही सम्पन्न हुए राजस्थान, मध्य प्रदेश और छत्तीसगढ़ के चुनावों में भी भाजपा तीनों राज्य हार गई. उपचुनावों में भी भारतीय जनता पार्टी की गोरखपुर की सीट समाजवादी पार्टी और निषाद पार्टी के गठबंधन द्वारा छीन ली गयी. अमित शाह और नरेंद्र मोदी की जोड़ी को अब 2019 के लिए बढ़िया प्लान बनाना होगा. देश में यदि लुंजपुंज विपक्ष के बाद भी नरेंद्र मोदी जैसे नेतृत्व को हार मिल रही है, तो यह भाजपा के लिए मंथन का समय है.
अर्थ जगत में भारत में कई बदलाव हुए. हमने चीन को आर्थिक विकास दर में लगातार तीसरे साल भी पीछे छोड़ा. फ़्यूजिटिव इकनोमिक ऑफण्डर्स बिल भी संसद से पास हो गया. इसने भगौड़ों को आर्थिक दंड पाने के लिए बाधित किया है. मुख्य आर्थिक सलाहकार का इस्तीफा और उसके बाद RBI गवर्नर के इस्तीफे ने विपक्ष को संसद में हंगामा करने का मौका दिया, लेकिन सब बेकार गया. सरकार मजबूती से खड़ी रही. इस साल भी कोई घोटाला सामने नहीं आया. इसके लिए प्रधानमंत्री मोदी की सरकार बधाई के पात्र हैं. वहीं इंसोल्वेंसी और बैंकरप्सी कोड के लागू हो जाने के बाद से बैंकों में फंसा पैसा वापस आ रहा है. ‘ईज़ ऑफ डूइंग बिज़नेस’ में भारत ने 77वां स्थान हासिल किया है, जो ऐतिहासिक है. विदेशी निवेश में भी भारत ने इस साल चीन को पछाड़ दिया है.
फिल्मी दुनिया में भी यह साल बहुत अच्छा नहीं रहा. अगर रोबो 2.0 (साउथ की फ़िल्म) को छोड़ दें, तो किसी बड़े बजट ली फ़िल्म ने कमाई नहीं की है. तीनों खान बंधुओं की फिल्में इस साल बुरी तरह से फ्लॉप हुई. सबसे पहले सलमान खान की फ़िल्म रेस 3 फिल्मी पर्दे पर धड़ाम हुई. उसके बाद अमिताभ बच्चन और आमिर खान की ‘ठग्स ऑफ हिन्दोस्तां’ उससे भी बुरी तरह से फ्लॉप हुई. शाहरुख खान की 200 करोड़ रुपयों की बजट में बनी फिल्म ‘जीरो’ भी बुरी तरह से फ्लॉप हुई. यानी बॉलीवुड में इस साल खान युग का चमक फींकी रही. वहीं नए सितारों में छोटी बजट की फिल्मों से भी तहलका मचाया. आयुष्मान खुराना की ‘बधाई हो’ और ‘अंधाधुंध’ और राजकुमार राव की ‘स्त्री’ कम बजट की होने के बाद भी बड़ी हिट रहीं. यह बता गयी कि अब बड़ा नाम नहीं, बड़ा काम चलेगा.
खेल में भी भारत ने जबरदस्त प्रदर्शन किया. भारत ने इस साल हुए अंडर-19 क्रिकेट विश्व कप के फाइनल में ऑस्ट्रेलिया को हरा विश्व विजेता बनने का गौरव एक बार फिर प्राप्त किया. पैरा एशियन गेम्स में भी भारत ने ज़बरदस्त प्रदर्शन किया. छोटे गांवों से भी बड़ी प्रतिभाएं निकलकर सामने आईं. एशियन गेम्स में भारत का रिकॉर्डतोड़ और बेहतरीन प्रदर्शन रहा. हालिया समाप्त हुई बॉर्डर गावस्कर ट्रॉफी में भारत ने ऑस्ट्रेलिया को उसी की धरती पर 2-1 से हराकर खिताब हासिल किया.
भारत में यह साल बुद्धिजीवियों के लिए कुछ अच्छा नहीं रहा. तथाकथित सेक्युलर पत्रकारों की सच्चाइयां #MeToo से खुलने लगी. विनोद दुआ के ऊपर एक महिला में यौन उत्पीड़न का आरोप लगाया, जिसके बाद उनको ‘द वायर’ से निकाल दिया गया. हालांकि वह फिर से दिखाई दे रहे हैं, किसी दूसरे मीडिया हाउस में. प्रखर नारीवाद का चोला ओढ़े लोगों की भी असली सच्चाइयं सामने आई. भ्रष्टाचार के आरोपियों के ऊपर भी इस साल कार्यवाहियां हुई हैं. ऑगस्टा वेस्टलैंड घोटाले में बिचौलिए क्रिश्चियन मिशेल को भारत वापस लाया गया हैं वहीं प्रधानमंत्री मोदी का शिकंजा ऐसा जकड़ा गया है कि भगौड़ा विजय माल्या भी पैसा चुकाने के लिए तैयार हो चुका है. कुल मिलाकर यह साल भारत के लिए एक अच्छा साल रहा. उम्मीद और कामना है कि आने वाला साल 2019 और भी बेहतर होगा. 2019 में क्रिकेट का विश्वकप और प्रधानमंत्री मोदी के लिए राजनीति का विश्वकप यानी आम चुनाव भी हैं. देश के लिए यह साल बहुत महत्वपूर्ण रहने वाला है.
