किसी भी व्यक्ति* की मृत्यु एक दुखद घटना होती है. पिछले कई वर्षों से मीडिया और सोशल मिडिया पर मौजूद जनता ने असंवेदनशीलता की पराकाष्ठा को भी पर कर दिया है. मोदी जी के स्वाइन फ़्लू की खबर सुन ख़ुश होती पत्रकार पल्लवी घोष या फिर अमित शाह के स्टेज से गिरने पर हंसती संजुक्ता बासु. किसी भी NDA मंत्री के अस्पताल में भर्ती होने पर लिबरल पत्रकारों की जो प्रतिक्रिया आती है वह बेहद शर्मनाक होती है.
कल माननीय मनोहर पर्रिकर जी के निधन पर भी ऐसी प्रतिक्रिया देखने को मिली जो किसी पत्थरदिल व्यक्ति को भी शर्मिन्दा कर दें.
सोशल मीडिया पे जहाँ एक तरफ इस ख़बर पर हँसने वाले रिऐक्शन आ रहे थे वहीं कई पत्रकार और अन्य लोग इसका जश्न भी मना रहे थे.
द हिन्दू और हिंदुस्तान टाइम्स जैसे विख्यात अखबारों भी इस घड़ी में उन्हें नीचा दिखाने से बाज़ नहीं आए. द हिन्दू ने लिखा कि उनकी आम आदमी की इमेज Carefully Cultivate की गई थी जिसका सीधा अर्थ निकलता है कि वह आम आदमी थे नहीं पर दिखावे के लिए उन्होंने ऐसी छवि बनाई. वहीं हिंदुस्तान टाइम्स ने पर्रीकर का ही एक् ट्वीट लेकर उनकी खिल्ली उड़ाने का प्रयास किया.
पर्रिकर ने World cancer day पर प्रोत्साहित करने वाला एक ट्वीट किया था जिसमें लिखा था कि इंसानी दिमाग हर बीमारी से उबर सकता है और विडंबना यही है कि उनकी मृत्यु कैंसर से ही हुई. कुछ अन्य यूज़र्स ने लिखा कि ‘स्वच्छ भारत के लिए अच्छा दिन’.
किसी व्यक्तिगत बैर के चलते किसी की मृत्यु पर खुश होना भी एक स्तर पे समझा जा सकता है पर पर्रिकर जैसे व्यक्ति के लिए ऐसा ज़हर न जाने लोगों के मन में कहां से आता है. एक मुख्यमंत्री जिसे गोआ का हर नागरिक चाहता हो, एक मंत्री जिसके कार्यकाल में न केवल सरकार का हज़ार करोड़ रुपया बचा और देश की सुरक्षा में भी कोई कमी नहीं आई. आखिर इस बचकानी नफरत का अर्थ क्या है? क्या वजह हो सकती है कि बिना कारण आप किसी की मृत्यु का मज़ाक उड़ा सकते हैं?
