समाज का एक ‘सोता हुआ वर्ग’ अभी भी आँख मूंदे यह समझ रहा है कि पर्यावरण बचाना आवश्यक है. वो इतना भ्रमित है कि चिकन टिक्का और मुर्ग मुसल्लम चांपने वालों से यह पूछना ही भूल जाता है कि वह भी तो उसी पर्यावरण के भाग हैं जिनको आप ज़ायका समझते हो? लेकिन क्योंकि ‘नॉन-वेजीटेरियन’ होना ‘कूल’ है तो एजेंडा चलाये जा रहे हैं. हद तो तब हो जाती है जब ये लोग एक बहुत बड़े वर्ग के दिमाग में गहरी छाप छोड़ जाते हैं.

युवा समाज में ये बातें आम हैं. ‘कूल कल्चर’ को अपना चुके अंग्रेज़ी के शेक्सपियरों ने बहुत पहले से ही दिनकर की ‘संस्कृति’ को छोड़ दिया है. यही कारण है कि उनको होली पर ही पानी बचाने की याद आती है. दीवाली पर ही पर्यावरण बचाने की याद आती है. मकर संक्रांति पर मांझा न इस्तेमाल करने की याद आती है. यह बिना सोचे समझे कि क्या एक दिन यह सब न करने से पर्यावरण बच जाएगा? क्योंकि यह एक ‘ट्रेंड’ का हिस्सा बन चुकी है. लेकिन वो कभी ये नहीं कहते कि डूड! व्हाई यू आर किलिंग ऐन इनोसेंट एनिमल इन द नेम ऑफ सैक्रिफाइस? या ‘ब्रो! व्हाई कांट यू लीव ईटिंग बीफ? इट हर्ट्स हिन्दुज़ बिलीफ. ऐसा इसलिए क्योंकि यह कभी उस ट्रेंड का हिस्सा रहा ही नहीं है.
उनको आप जब भी इस ‘ट्रेंड’ से बाहर करने का प्रयास करेंगे, वर्षों पुराना ‘इकोसिस्टम’ आवाज़ उठाएगा और उनकी आवाज़ इतनी भयंकर होगी कि आपकी बात दब जाएगी. इसीलिए बोलना छोड़िये, चींखना शुरू कीजिए. बात समझाने के लिए आदमी को पहले जगाना पड़ता है. एक तरफ उनको पता है कि एजेंडा क्या है. दूसरी तरफ आपके जवानों की तो नींद ही अभी तक नहीं खुली है. तो उनको जगाने का प्रयास करते रहिए.
वायरल हुई इस तस्वीर ने फिर से बताया है कि देश में वह ‘सोता हुआ वर्ग’ अपने लिए कभी आवाज़ नहीं उठाएगा. आवाज़ वह उठाते हैं जिनको यह पता होता है कि आखिर उनके साथ गलत क्या हो रहा है. जो जगे हुए हैं, वो आवाज़ उठाते हैं. उनके लिए एक कैटेगरी पहले से ही बना कर रख दी गयी है…’अति-राष्ट्रवादी’. ये बहुत व्यवस्थित तंत्र है, तभी तो इतना मज़बूत है. इसके ऊपर पिछले कुछ सालों में चोट पड़ी है. लेकिन उनको भी पता है कि ‘सोता हुआ वर्ग’ ही उनकी असली ताकत है.
अब देखना ये है कि यह ‘सोता हुआ वर्ग’ कब तक सोता रहता है. पर्यावरण की परछाई में कैसे उनकी पुरानी संस्कृति को खत्म करने के प्रयास किये जाते हैं. बस इंतज़ार करिये उस समय का जब इस ‘सोते वर्ग’ की नींद खुलेगी. बस आप चींखना जारी रखिये. जिस दिन इनकी नींद खुलेगी, उस दिन ‘दिनकर’ की संस्कृति दोबारा भारतवर्ष में लौट आएगी.
