एक सुपरस्टार की ऐसी हैसियत के समाज पर प्रभाव की कल्पना कल्पना सहज ही की जा सकती हैं. बॉलीवुड सपनों को नई पहचान देने के लिए जाना जाता है. पूरे देश से करोड़ों युवा मुंबई अपना भाग्य आजमाने जाते हैं. गिनती के हीरो और हीरोइन बनते हैं और कुछ एक्स्ट्रा लेकिन अधिकांश गुमनाम होकर जीवन खराब कर लेते हैं. ग्लैमर वर्ल्ड का यह आकर्षण उस देश मे है जहाँ भुखमरी है, एक एक रुपये की कीमत समझने वाले लोग हैं और जहाँ एक मध्यम वर्गीय परिवार का लड़का ₹5000 की फटी जींस खरीदने के लिए पिता से ज़िद करता है क्योंकि वैसा उसके हीरो ने पहना था. जिस देश में गरीबी रेखा से नीचे रहने वाले लोगों की कोई कमी नहीं है, उस देश में एक फ़िल्म को पहले ही दिन 50 करोड़ रुपयों से ऊपर की ओपनिंग मिल जाती है. अपने पसंदीदा हीरो की एक झलक के लिए उसके जन्मदिन के दिन हज़ारों लोगों की जुटी भीड़ यह बताती है कि देश के युवाओं के लिए यह फिल्मी सितारे क्या बन चुके हैं.
‘सेलेब वरशिप’, ‘लिव इन रिलेशनशिप’, ‘क्लबिंग’, ‘छोटे कपड़े पहनना’ जैसी पश्चिमी सभ्यता उड़ कर हमारे बच्चों के अंदर नहीं घुसी हैं. इसे उनके दिमाग मे घुसाया गया है. सालों से एक ही तरह की फ़िल्म देखते हुए अब बच्चों में यह भावना बैठ चुकी है कि ‘लव एट फर्स्ट साइट’ एक हकीकत है. वो अब ‘अरेंज मैरिज’ जैसी चीजों में विश्वास नहीं करते. सबको ‘लव मैरिज’ करनी है. गनीमत यह है कि हमारी आज की पीढ़ी कम से कम शादी तो कर रही है, भविष्य की पीढ़ी तो ‘लिव इन’ को ही ‘कूल’ मानेगी. ये ‘कूल डूड’ और ‘कूल डूडनियाँ’ जब धोखा खाते हैं तो भी बॉलीवुड के गानों से ही अपना गम भूलाते हैं. गाने भी ऐसे जिनका कोई मतलब नहीं है. अब तो पुराने प्रोडक्ट को ही नए पैकेट में ‘रीमेक’ के नाम पर धड़ल्ले से बेचा जा रहा है.
कूल डूड को सिगरेट पीना और भी ज़्यादा कूल लगता है क्योंकि उसने फ़िल्म में मुन्ना भाई को सिगरेट के कश लगाते देखा है, दारू पीते देखा है. उसके लिए यह ‘कूल’ बनने का ‘बेंचमार्क’ है. वैसे ही कूल डूडनियो को छोटे कपड़े पहनना ‘स्टाइल’ लगता है. उनके लिए दारू पीना कोई बड़ी बात नहीं क्योंकि ये तो अब ‘पार्ट ऑफ सोसाइटी’ हो चुका है. कूल डूड और डूडनियो को ‘रिलेशनशिप’ में आना ‘मस्ट’ है. हवा के एक झोंके से उड़ जाने वाली लड़कियाँ अपने आप को ‘ज़ीरो फिगर #Proud’ की कैटेगरी में रखती है.
बॉलीवुड पर वस्तुनिष्ठ चिन्तन जरुरी है. वह हमें स्वस्थ मनोरंजन परोस रहा है या पश्चिमी सभ्यता जिससे खुद भी पश्चिम वाले अब परेशान हो चुके हैं. उनके समाज में अब रिश्तों का कोई मूल्य नहीं है. शादी से पहले शारीरिक संबंध उनके लिए आम है. ड्रग्स और शराब की लत, सिगरेट का धुआं और व्यभिचार और अपने ही देश को ‘ब्लडी गंवार’ सोसाइटी कहने की सीख मनोरंजन के नाम पर नहीं दी जा सकती. अंग्रेज़ी जरुरी है पर उसे ‘स्टेटस सिंबल’ बनाकर अपनी भाषा की तौहीन आवश्यक नहीं. हमारा रोल मॉडल स्वामी विवेकानंद और अब्दुल कलाम होंगे न कि दाऊद इब्राहिम, छोटा शकील या सुल्तान मिर्ज़ा.
