साधन संपन्न मगर भोलेभाले लोगों से भरपूर एक आदर्श गाँव था। गाँव वाले इतने सीधे थे कि उन्हें ना तो पंचायत की आवश्यकता थी और ना हीं पंचों की। भोले इतने थे कि उन्हें यह भी ठीक से नहीं पता था कि उनके पास साधनों के रुप मे कितनी सम्पदा है। वो ईश्वर का नाम लेते हुए आवश्यकता अनुसार गुजर बरस कर लेते थे।

अचानक इस गाँव मे शहर से पढ़ा , ख़ुद को डॉक्टर बताने वाला सुंदर नैननक़्श वाला एक आदमी आ बसा। उसने गाँव मे क्लीनिक खोला और गाँव वालों का इलाज करने लगा।
डॉक्टर शातिर था, उसने भाँप लिया की गाँव मे बहुत माल है और लोग भोले भाले ।
उसने गाँव वालों का इलाज मीठी गोलियों से करना शुरू कर दिया। जब मर्ज़ बढ़ जाता तो नशे की पुडीया पकड़ा देता। देखते देखते उस डॉक्टर ने फ़ीस के नाम पर इतना कमा लिया कि सात पुश्तों का इंतज़ाम हो गया। गाँव वालों के घर कच्चे रहे मगर उसका पक्का मकान बन गया। इधर उचित इलाज के अभाव मे गाँव वालों को नित नयी बीमारियाँ लगने लगी तो उधर गाँव के हर बस अड्डे , प्याऊ , धर्मशाला पर डॉक्टर का नाम छप गया।
डॉक्टर दूरदर्शी था, उसने देख लिया कि अगर उसने कुछेक गाँव वालों के साथ अपनी कमाई का हिस्सा नहीं बाँटा तो उसकी क़लई खुल सकती है। लिहाज़ा उसने कुछ नौजवानों की प्रीटींग प्रेस खुलवा दी और कुछ दबंग लोगों की नीम हकीम झोला छाप डॉक्टरी शुरू करवा दी ।

प्रिंटींग प्रेस मे डॉक्टर साब की गुणगान के पर्चे छपते और गाँव वालों मे बँटवा दिये जाते । उधर नीम हकीम शुरू मे यह कहकर मरीज़ फाँसते कि हम तुम्हारा सस्ते मे इलाज करेंगे और दो तीन जाँच के बाद अपनी फ़ीस लेकर मरीज़ को डॉक्टर के पास रेफ़र कर देते। इस तरह की बंदरबाँट से भले ही डॉक्टर की कमाई पहले से कम हुई हो मगर दुकान मस्त चल रही थी।

देखते देखते डॉक्टर का क्लिनिक अब एक साम्राज्य मे तब्दील हो चुका था और गाँव एक लाइलाज मरीज़ों से भरा बड़े अस्पताल में।
गाँव वालों की तकलीफ़ के बारे मे जब एक अनुभवी वैद्य को पता चला तो उसने उस गाँव का दौरा किया। उसने देखा कि रोग फैल चुका है, इलाज के नाम पर या तो मीठी गोलियाँ है या नशे की पुडीया।

वैद्य से इस गाँव की पीड़ा देखी नहीं गयी और उसने यहाँ बस कर गाँव वालों का भला करने का मन बनाया। सबसे पहले तो उसने झूठे प्रचार करने वाली प्रींटींग प्रेस को लगभग बंद करवाया और उसके बाद उसने उस गाँव के मरीज़ों का इलाज शुरू किया । इलाज के साथ साथ उसने गाँव वालों को शिक्षित करने का भी प्रयास किया कि कैसे रोग से बचा जा सकता है।

मगर कुछ रोग इतने जड़ बन चूके थे कि उसके लिये शल्य चिकित्सा ही एकमात्र इलाज था और जब उसने मरीज़ों को यह सुझाया तो उनमें से बहुत कुछ तो इसे मानकर शल्य चिकित्सा से गुज़रते हुए स्वस्थ हो गये मगर बहुत से वो है जो अब भी अपने दर्द का इलाज डॉक्टर और नीम हकीमों द्वारा दी गयी नशे की पुडीया मे ही तलाश रहे है।

गाँव वैद्य मे आस्था रख पूरी तरह स्वस्थता की और क़दम बढ़ा पायेगा या फिर वो डॉक्टर की दी हुई नशे की पुडीया खा कर दर्द कम करता रहेगा .. यह मई 2019 मे निर्धारित होगा।
