आस्ट्रेलिया में भारत की ऐतिहासिक जीत

बारिश और खराब रौशनी ने ऑस्ट्रेलिया को भारत-ऑस्ट्रेलिया टेस्ट श्रृंखला के चौथे और आखिरी मैच में हार से जरूर बचा लिया पर ऑस्ट्रेलियाई टीम टेस्ट श्रृंखला नहीं बचा पायी. भारत ने 71 साल के लंबे इंतेज़ार बाद ऑस्ट्रेलिया को उनकी ही धरती पर टेस्ट श्रृंखला हराकर इतिहास रच दिया.

भारत ऑस्ट्रेलिया को उसके घर में हराने वाली दुनिया की पांचवी और एशिया की पहली टीम है. अब तक सिर्फ इंग्लैंड, साउथ अफ्रीका, न्यूज़ीलैंड और वेस्टइंडीज ही ऐसा कर पाए हैं. इससे पहले 2003-04 में भारत ऑस्ट्रेलिया में टेस्ट श्रृंखला जीतने की कगार पर था पर स्टीव वॉ ने अपने आखिरी मैच में 80 रन की महत्वपूर्ण पारी खेलकर श्रृंखला बचा ली थी.

इस श्रृंखला में भारत ने ऐडिलेड में पहला टेस्ट जीतकर श्रृंखला की धमाकेदार शुरुआत की थी. आखिरी पारी में 323 के लक्ष्य का पीछा करते हुए एक समय ऑस्ट्रेलिया 187 पर 7 विकेट गंवा चुका था और भारत की जीत आसान लग रही थी पर ऑस्ट्रेलिया के पुछल्ले बल्लेबाजों ने जिम्मेदार बैटिंग करते हुए टीम को लक्ष्य के बहुत नजदीक पहुंचा दिया था. भारतीय गेंदबाज उनको 291 पर आल आउट करने में कामयाब रहे और टीम को 31 रन से जीत दिला दी. मैन ऑफ द मैच चेतेश्वर पुजारा के 123 और 71 रन भारत और ऑस्ट्रेलिया की बैटिंग में फर्क दिखा रहे थे. 

पर्थ में श्रृंखला का दूसरा टेस्ट जीतकर ऑस्ट्रेलिया ने वापसी की. दूसरे टेस्ट में कप्तान विराट कोहली के 123 रन और मोहम्मद शमी के सर्वश्रेष्ठ 6/56 के प्रदर्शन के बावजूद भारत को हार का सामना करना पड़ा. हार का मुख्य कारण दूसरी पारी में भारत की लापरवाह बैटिंग रही. 287 के लक्ष्य के सामने भारतीय टीम सिर्फ 140 बनाकर आल आउट हो गई. अंतिम 6 विकेट सिर्फ 42 रन में ही गवां दिए. मैन ऑफ द मैच नेथन ल्योन ने 8 विकेट लेकर अपनी टीम को 1-1 की बराबरी पर पहुंचा दिया.तीसरा मैच परंपरागत बॉक्सिंग डे टेस्ट था और इस मैच में भारतीय टीम पूरी तरह हावी रही. पुजारा के शतक, कोहली, मयंक अग्रवाल और रोहित शर्मा के अर्द्धशतक एवं जसप्रीत बुमराह की 6/33 और 3/53 की घातक गेंदबाजी से भारत ने तीसरा मैच 137 रन से जीतकर श्रृंखला में 2-1 से बढ़त बना ली.

श्रृंखला के आखिरी मैच में ऑस्ट्रेलियाई टीम मैच जीतकर सीरीज़ को बराबर करने के मंसूबे से मैदान में उतरी. पुजारा के धमाकेदार 193 और ऋषभ पंत के नाबाद 159 एवं रविन्द्र जडेजा के विस्फोटक 81 रन की मदद से भारत ने पहली पारी में 622-7 (पारी घोषित) रन जड़कर ऑस्ट्रेलिया के जीत के अरमानों पर पानी फेर दिया. ऑस्ट्रेलियाई टीम जवाब में 300 रन पर ही आल आउट हो गयी. भारत ने फॉलो-ऑन दे दिया. पिछले 30 सालों में पहली बार ऑस्ट्रेलिया को अपनी धरती पर फॉलो-ऑन का सामना करना पड़ा. आखिरी बार इंग्लैंड ने 1988 में ऑस्ट्रेलिया को सिडनी में ही फॉलो-ऑन खेलने पर मजबूर किया था. बारिश और खराब रौशनी के चलते आस्ट्रेलिया की दूसरी पारी में सिर्फ 4 ओवर का ही खेल हो पाया और मैच ड्रॉ हो गया. ऑस्ट्रेलिया अपने घर में 2-1 से हार गया. यह हार 3-1 की होते होते रह गयी.

भारतीय क्रिकेट फैन्स इस ऐतिहासिक जीत के बाद खुशी से झूम रहे हैं. वहीं कुछ मीन मेख निकालने वाले लोग इस जीत को कमजोर टीम पर जीत बताकर इसको खास महत्व नहीं दे रहे पर भारतीय कोच रवि शास्त्री ने ऑस्ट्रेलियाई दौरे की शुरुआत में कहा था कि अपने घर में किसी भी टीम को कमजोर समझना गलती है.

सैंड पेपर से बॉल टेंपरिंग के लिए टीम से निलंबित स्टीव स्मिथ और डेविड वार्नर की गैरहाजिरी से टीम की बैटिंग पर कुछ असर जरूर ही होना था पर सिर्फ दो खिलाड़ियों से टीम थोड़े ही बनती है. ऑस्ट्रेलियाई सलामी बल्लेबाज उस्मान ख़्वाजा सीरीज से पहले बढ़िया फॉर्म में थे और पूर्व ऑस्ट्रेलियाई कप्तान रिकी पॉन्टिंग ने यहां तक कहा था कि ख़्वाजा सीरीज में विराट कोहली से ज्यादा रन बनाएंगे. आरोन फिंच, शॉन मार्श और पीटर हैंड्सकॉम्ब जैसे अनुभवी बैट्समैन भी थे टीम में. विकेटकीपर और कप्तान टीम पैन नंबर 7 पर बल्लेबाजी में उतरे थे और उसके बाद मिचेल  स्टार्क और पिट कम्मिन्स. तो भारतीय टीम की तुलना में ऑस्ट्रेलियन बैटिंग की गहराई कहीं ज्यादा थी. पिछली होम सीरीज में ख्वाजा, शौन मार्श और मिचेल मार्श तीनों ने शतक बनाया था पर पिछले 100 सालों में ऐसा पहली बार हुआ है कि ऑस्ट्रेलिया में 4 या 4 से ज्यादा टेस्ट मैच की सीरीज हुई हो और उनका एक भी बल्लेबाज शतक नहीं मार सका. ऐसा भारत की उम्दा गेंदबाजी से हुआ.

इशांत शर्मा, मोहम्मद शमी और जसप्रीत बुमराह की सटीक तेज गेंदबाजी के सामने ऑस्ट्रेलियाई बल्लेबाज़ टिक नहीं पाए. बॉक्सिंग डे मैच बुमराह के 9/86 की वजह से ही भारत जीत पाया. बुमराह ने सीरीज में 21 और शमी ने 16 विकेट्स चटकाए. विराट कोहली का कहना है कि वो नहीं चाहेंगे कि उनको टेस्ट क्रिकेट में कभी बुमराह का सामना करना पड़े. एक तेज़ गेंदबाज़ के लिए इससे बड़ी प्रशंसा क्या होगी.

ऑस्ट्रेलियाई गेंदबाज़ी की बात करें तो स्टार्क और हैजेलवुड अनुभवी गेंदबाज है और अपने घरेलू मैदान में हमेशा ही असरदार सिद्ध होते हैं. स्पिनर नाथन ल्योन किसी भी तरह की पिच पर बल्लेबाजों को परेशान कर सकते हैं. पर्थ की उछाल भरी पिच पर नाथन ल्योन की गेंदबाजी की वजह से ही ऑस्ट्रेलिया को जीत मिली. दूसरी तरफ भारतीय बल्लेबाज़ी अपनी सलामी जोड़ी की समस्या से जूझ रही थी पर पुजारा, कोहली, रहाणे ने मध्यक्रम में सूझ-बूझ से बैटिंग कर ऑस्ट्रेलियाई गेंदबाजी को प्रभावहीन बना दिया.

‘कुछ तो लोग कहेंगे, लोगों का काम है कहना…’ पर सत्य तो यही है कि कप्तान कोहली की अगुवाई में इस टीम ने ऑस्ट्रेलिया में टेस्ट सीरीज में विजय हासिल की है जो आज तक कोई और भारतीय टीम नहीं कर सकी. भारतीय टीम के लिए हमेशा से ही कहा जाता है कि वे घर के शेर हैं जो विदेश और खासकर SENA (साउथ अफ्रीका, इंग्लैंड, न्यूज़ीलैंड, ऑस्ट्रेलिया) देशों में जीत नहीं सकते. आज की ऐतिहासिक जीत के बाद सिर्फ साउथ अफ्रीका का किला फ़तह करना शेष है. फैन्स आशा करते हैं कि कप्तान कोहली और उनकी टीम यह जीत भी जल्दी हासिल कर लेगी.
